These courses are in chronological order and are organized by semester. For each course, I have provided: course title, course instructor(s), and a brief description of my experience.

TE 802: Reflection & Inquiry in Teaching Practice I: LIteracy

This course was completed during my internship year through Michigan State University. In this course, I was able to develop agency as a literacy teacher in designing, teaching, and analyzing lessons of individual learning needs. This course helped to guide my own literacy learning practices which include organizing and teaching small and whole group reading instruction, teaching writing in a responsive way, and reflecting on my teaching by analyzing student work.
TE 803 - Professional Roles and Teaching Practice II

This course was completed during my internship year through Michigan State University. In this course, I deepened my understanding and knowledge of Social Studies Education. I was able to accomplish those things through learning how to distinguish valuable resources for curriculum and assessment. This course also helped me to create instruction that was meaningful and culturally relevant to my students.
TE 804 - Reflection and Inquiry in Teaching Practice II

This course was completed during my internship year at Michigan State University. In this course, I deepened my understanding and knowledge of Science instruction. I was introduced to the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) in this course which I used alongside of district curriculum to design consecutive lessons about Earth's gravity. After this course, I was able to develop an instruction sequence, analyze curriculum resources and implement meaningful science lessons.
CEP 810: Teaching & Understanding with Technology

In this course, I explored learning with technology and incorporating the TPACK framework. A key component to this course was exploring our Professional Learning Network (PLN) and seeing how beneficial our other networks can be to us as an educators for our students. The creation of a blog played a role in my personal exploration and understanding of technology.
CEP 811: Adapting Innovative Technology to Education

During this course I looked at innovative technologies and how we could incorporate and implement them from innovative student learning. Through a variety of projects, blogs and Twitter I focused on making, innovative, new technologies and the contexts needed to support creative learning. I explored learning plan using a lens of Intersectionality and the Universal Design for Learning.
CEP 800: Psychology of Learning in School and Other Settings

In this course, I explored on the progression of learning theories over the last centuries. The learning theories that I explored included: behaviorism, cognitivism, and socio-cultural learning. Throughout this course I created a personal learning theory through the use of an essay on my own beliefs of learning. In this course we also looked at how learning occurred in a particular community we were interested in. Then completed research on a variety of resources that could be used to accommodate learning in that community.
TE 846: Accommodating Differences in Literacy Learners

In this course, I learned and explored a variety of literacy skills and strategies. I learned about a variety of teaching methods for accommodating the needs of individual literacy learners. During this course, I worked on a literacy learner project where I focused on one student and their growth through lessons and assessments based on assessment data. I learned the importance of analyzing data to make informed decisions when it comes to my literacy learners.
CEP 812: Applying Education Technology to Practice

In this course, I learned about a range of technologies that could be used to address education-related issues.
I also learned about the importance of questioning and explored an education-related issue. I explored questioning through a Wicked Problem Project that focused on making cross-curricular connections.
CEP 822: Approaches to Education Research

In this course, I explored methods of educational research. There was a specific focus on qualitative and quantitative methods of research and why each is valuable. During this course, I developed a research proposal while identifying problems in the educational field. I learned how to apply inferential and differential statistics for analyzing and critiquing published articles within my own research.
CEP 807: Capstone in Educational Technology

During this course I reflected on my learning throughout my Masters of the Arts in Educational Technology (MAET) program. I reflected of my past and future goals for this program and my future learning. This course helped me to create a for variety of audiences and purposes.
